Through the NPHCDA, the Federal Government of Nigeria has worked with Gavi and other international partners to enhance routine vaccination programs and other PHC services offered in the nation. In order to meet the goals and predictions outlined, the Nigeria Strategy for Immunization and PHC System Strengthening [NSIPSS] was developed, detailing critical actions and commitments from the government and Gavi.
In order to strengthen routine immunization and the primary health care (PHC) system, Gavi engaged Sydani to provide technical support to the FGoN at the national and state levels in the development of strategies, interventions, proposals, and implementation plans, while also serving as a liaison between Gavi and NPHCDA.
The team also keeps an eye on the execution of projects funded by Gavi funds that support RI and PHC programs, improve financial accountability, and ensure adherence to Gavi award requirements for grant management and reporting.
