Preventing Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault in Nigeria (PISAN)

Sydani Group developed and implemented the Preventing Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault in Nigeria (PISAN) project with grant funding from Grand Challenge Canada to enhance the response to intimate partner violence (IPV) and sexual assault (SA) for women in IDP camps in the Federal Capital Territory.

The project is currently changing the lives of women and girls in these IDP camps and helping to lower the rates of IPV, SA, and general GBV in Nigeria by using a three-pronged implementation approach that involves conducting community sensitizations among community members, facilitating capacity building sessions with relevant gatekeepers, and deploying a toll-free helpline.
