R4D/Sydani in partnership with senior management and policymakers from the government agencies has identified crucial needs where the consortium can support the FMOH budget Process, NPHCDA, and NHIS.
Support to NPHCDA
Monitoring & Evaluation: The BHCPF is a vital resource made available to assist with primary healthcare operations. Monitoring and evaluation must be effective at all levels if the fund and its supporting operations are to be used as efficiently as possible. Sydani is supporting the examination of the M&E indicators and framework to ensure value addition to the overall program. We will also support the establishment of a framework for electronic data management at all levels. The BHCPF PIU is the primary recipient of this support.
Programmatic Support: In terms of building a “Adopt a PHC” framework and offering a fiscal space evaluation approach, we are offering support in two crucial areas.
The methodology for assessing fiscal space gives a state a comprehensive understanding of how to find and expand fiscal space to assist effective resource allocation to meet state priority needs.
Most of the population receives care and insurance from PHC. The commercial sector and other stakeholders are becoming more interested in supporting efficient PHC operations. The Sydani team is supporting the creation, revision, and roll-out of the “Adopt a PHC framework” and providing technical support to particular states for implementation in order to support these engagements and guarantee that interest is efficiently coordinated to generate outcomes.
