A Meeting was held at the Niger State Primary Health Care Management Development Agency (NSPHCDA), Minna to disseminate data tools to the state for onward development to 128 primary health care facilities across the 12-program implementation LGAs in the state.
To provide its population with high-quality healthcare, Niger State committed to improving its health system and filling management of Primary Health Care’s capacity deficiencies and to solve the state’s disjointed administration and management, poor funding, and lack of human resources.
To do this, the state partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to seek technical support to improve its Primary health care management capabilities at the state, local government area, community, and facility levels. Through TA Connect, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) contracted Sydani to provide technical support to improve the state’s PHC management capacity.
Dr Dagana, the Executive Director NSPHCDA, in his opening remark, commended the efforts of Sydani Group and TAConnect in strengthening the system of the Niger state primary health care especially in the areas of administration and documentation. He urged all LGA directors to ensure data tools are delivered to the facilities and used effectively, efficiently and appropriately, as proper administration and documentation fosters proactiveness and informs evidence-based decision making, adding that data availability is imperative and a useful tool in research writing and grant application. He also instructed that the newly developed data tools be included in the supervision checklist of the SPHCDA. The printed data tools were received by the state store officer, Musa Garba Gwam and unveiled by the Executive Director NSPHCDA, Dr Dangana.
As we continue to redefine the health landscape by providing strategic planning centered on excellence and making significant impacts, we remain committed to ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all through inclusivity.
