The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US-CDC) recognized the need for a comprehensive tool to track and coordinate the support provided by various implementing partners, funders, and state and local government agencies across Niger State.
Before this project, the lack of centralized data made it difficult for stakeholders to efficiently plan, monitor, and evaluate the distribution and impact of resources, leading to potential overlaps or gaps in support at the Local Government Area (LGA) level.
Product Design & Development: As the Prime Recipient, our team developed the Partner Resource Mapping Dashboard as part of the Consequential Geography Project. This tool was designed to provide real-time information on the types and distribution of support provided by various stakeholders across program areas in Niger State. The dashboard integrated real-time data feeds, allowing users to visualize both historical and ongoing support, which facilitated more strategic planning and coordination.
The dashboard featured interactive mapping, enabling stakeholders to tailor reports based on specific criteria such as program area, geographic location, or time frame. It also served as a collaboration tool, fostering multi-stakeholder engagement by allowing different entities to view and interact with the data relevant to their interests and operations.
Result: From January 2024 to September 2024, the Consequential Geography Project successfully enhanced resource planning and allocation in Niger State. The dashboard was referenced by 20 partners during quarterly collation meetings, significantly improving the coordination of support efforts across LGAs. The tool’s ability to integrate real-time data and visualize historical support enabled stakeholders to make informed decisions on reallocating or supplementing resources where needed, leading to more efficient and effective interventions.
The interactive and customizable features of the dashboard set it apart as a key innovation, driving improved collaboration among implementing partners, funders, and government agencies.
