Cold Chain Equipment Optimization Project (CCEOP)
The Cold Chain Equipment Optimization Project (CCEOP), initiated in 2019, received funding from GAVI and the Nigerian government to strengthen Nigeria's cold chain system and enhance immunization coverage by ensuring every political ward has at least one solar direct drive CCE. With 9344 CCEs procured, deployed and installed to standard guidelines, leading to an increase in the country's CCE ward saturation from 39.5% to 96% since project inception
Determination of the Operational Expenditure of PHC Facilities


Sydani was contracted on the determination of the Operational Expenditure of PHC Facilities project aimed to create an evidence based PHC policy for Nigeria. Funded by NPHCDA, it involved operational research on PHC facility expenditures. Through data analysis and presentations to stakeholders like the Nigerian Governor's Forum, the project aimed to guide policy decisions and foster discussions on public-private partnerships and investments in PHC facilities
Development of the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP)

Sydani provided technical assistance for the Health Thematic Area of the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) 2021-2025. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), The project aimed to review the implementation of the National Strategic Health Development Plan II (NSHDP II) and inform the development of the MTNDP. Activities were planned and prioritized across FMoH departments, with costing and resource mobilization opportunities identified
Southern Religious and Traditional Leaders' Engagement for PHC Delivery (SoRTLE)

Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and executed with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, operated from 2022 - 2023 across Nigeria's 17 southern states. The project boosted routine immunization coverage to curb the vaccine-circulating polio variant by engaging traditional and religious leaders, raising awareness about cVPV2, and increasing vaccination demand
Niger State Management Capacity Strengthening

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, via TA Connect, contracted Sydani to provide technical assistance to strengthen Niger State's primary healthcare management capacity from 2022 to 2023. Aimed to enhance PHC managers' skills across seven thematic areas. Sydani, in collaboration with SPHCDA, developed tools, systems, and a capacity strengthening curriculum, utilizing methods like on-site training and mentorship. A sustainability strategy was devised for the SPHCDA to maintain the gains achieved beyond the project's duration
VaccInsights
The VaccInsights project aimed to enhance immunization decision-making by addressing data challenges in two states, Cross River and Jigawa. A platform called VacInsight was developed to aggregate vaccination data from various sources including DHIS 2, EMID, Open LMIS, and Call-in data. This platform integrated AI technology to analyze data and provide evidence-based insights on vaccination coverage and services, benefiting policymakers, health administrators, and EPI Data Managers at state and LGA levels to improve public health outcomes
Sydani EcoResearch

In May 2023, the Sydani EcoResearch Project investigated the relationship between public perception, policy, and action on climate change in Nigeria, shedding light on the country's response to this critical global issue. The project sought to address three key knowledge gaps: understanding public perceptions of climate change, awareness of existing climate policies, and willingness to adopt adaptation measures. The project's findings provided valuable insights into public awareness, policy effectiveness, and influencing factors, which are essential for informed decision-making and the development of climate policies and adaptation strategies tailored to the needs and preferences of the Nigerian population
COVID-19 Technical Assistance Support
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Nigeria, Gavi Alliance funded Sydani Group to provide critical technical support to the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) with the focus on enhancing financial management and optimized supervision for the deployment of COVID-19 vaccinations, this partnership has yielded significant progress in the nation's fight against the pandemic and the safeguarding of vulnerable population.
Data Governance for Health (DG4Health) Foreign Commonwealth and Development


The DG4Health project, funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office through the Vaccine Data Collab and supported by DevAfrique in collaboration with FMOH, NPHCDA, NBD, and NPDC, aimed to develop an inclusive health data governance framework for immunization. Objectives include assessing existing data governance procedures, developing a comprehensive framework through participatory methods, and advocating for its adoption to guide policy development
Basic Health Care Provision Fund Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation Project

BMGF engaged Sydani over a 3 year period (2022- 2025) to design and operationalize an ICT-enabled MLE system to strengthen the BHCPF data management system across three (3) gateways (NPHCDA, NHIA, EMT)
