Context
The Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) in Nigeria required a robust system to improve data management, enhance transparency, and facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation across multiple health care gateways. The goal was to design and implement a system that could address existing challenges in data visibility and responsiveness, thereby improving overall healthcare delivery.
Action
Design and deployment of integrated dashboards for visibility to fund deployment usage and process bottlenecks to allow for timely interventions, Integration of programmatic data from across the gateways into the Ministerial Overisght Committee dashboard for program monitoring.
The Results
The project has significantly strengthened the BHCPF data management system, leading to enhanced data visibility and transparency and accountability. The successful development of the mobile application and the real-time dashboard has improved accountability and usage of funds.
