Using findings, a health sector planning and costing tool was designed to facilitate the development and costing of health sector annual operational plans drawn from the NSHDP II, the capacity of the relevant planning and budgeting officers was built to use the tool, a budget process map and calendar was designed to serve as a reminder for prompt planning and budget and timely submission of the budget
Planning officers were trained on prioritization and re-prioritization, and both planning and budgeting officers were provided with M&E tools to promote budget monitoring, reporting, and use of budget data for action. The objective of this project is to ensure that the health sector is intentionally demonstrating value for money and strongly positioning itself to advocate for adequate and sustainable funding allocation.
